Button Bush is a large shrub getting up to 10-12' tall. The plant requires swamp like conditions with moist to wet soil year round. Growing best in full to part sun, it can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions as long as the main condition is moisture. The white pompom like flowers emerge June through September attracting many pollinators with its wonderful fragrence. A wildly popular host plant to many species including the Royal Walnut Moth, Hydrandea Sphinx, and Titan Sphinx.
