This beautiful clumping sem-evergreen sedge can grow to be 2 feet tall and just as wide. It prefers part sun on the edge of woodlines and moist soils, while being tolerant of a wide range of soil compositions and PH. It is a host plant to a few species of caterpillars and great cover for small animals to hide in from predators.
Native to Durham County, but is sparse in the state. Click to view its range in North Carolina.
