This shrub can grow to be 10 feet tall and just as wide. Growing best in full sun to part shade, it can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions. The white clusters of flowers will be covered in pollinators throughout June. The edible berries will start to ripen in August, if you can get to them before all the birds and other wildlife do.
It is found in nearly every county in NC. Click to view its range in North Carolina.
