False Indigo is a large shrub reaching up to 15' in height and can be just as wide. This plant perfers full or part sun and can tolerate pretty much any soil conditions. A hardy plant that is tough to kill. It's dark purple flowers appear from April and into June. Excellent nectar plant for a wide range of pollinators as well as being a host plant to many species of caterpillars.
