Lanceleaf Coreopsis typically gets to about 2 feet tall. It is a pernnial that is native to much of the central and eastern parts of the United States, but some debate whether it is native to NC or has naturalized. It prefers full soil and moist, well drained soils. Commonly found with pure yellow flowers, it will occasionaly, and naturally, have a darker orange center. The flowers bloom April through June and attract a wide range of bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects.
