This perennial can grow to reach 7' tall. Growing best in moist but well drained soils in full sun. The pinkish lavender flowers grow in huge clusters that can be 18" wide. Typically bloming from July though September. The flowers attract a wide range of pollinators, the leaves are a food source to caterpillars, and the seeds then feed the birds.
