This large shrub can grow to be 12 feet tall and just as wide. It grows just fine in full shade to full sun, in moist to wet acidic soils. Its white flower cluster bloom May through June, attracting a wide range of butterflies and bees. Many butterflies, including Azure butterflies, host on this shrub in spring and summer. The berries attract a wide range of birds and small mammals. Great plant for erosion control.
